I’d like to welcome you to this, my first blog.
Hopefully you’ve already read the description of Ice Fire and know the premise. Perhaps you’ve listened to my reading of the first few pages. To summarize, Ice Fire is a thriller with New Orleans, the Big Easy, as background (except when the main characters come perilously close to death in a submarine at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean). It is the first in a series introducing the lead character Jock Boucher, a federal judge who gives judicial activism a whole new dimension. He doesn’t deal with bad guys in the sterile environment of a courtroom; he literally tackles them head-on. The novel also deals with methane hydrate, an abundant fuel source found on the ocean floor whose worldwide potential is just now being explored. I will discuss more on methane hydrate in future blogs.
I warn you—if you are able to put down this fast-paced tale, it might be to pick up the phone and book a trip to New Orleans; or in the alternative to surf the Internet for a recipe for some good Cajun cookin’ for dinner tonight.
Ice Fire will be available for purchase in Hardcover and E-book on or about May 1, 2012.
Best to all,
